Jogia seemed to carry on his pretty boy heartthrob legacy as Leon Kennedy in the 2021 film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which is loosely based on the Resident Evil video games by Capcom.

Some fans also thought that certain traits of Leon Kennedy’s character were inaccurately portrayed, which affected Jogia’s acting and played a major factor in why the movie was badly received.

Resident Evil is far from Jogia’s first foray into the zombie film genre; he previously starred in the 2019 film Zombieland: Double Tap as well as TV productions such as Twisted, Tut and Orphan Black: Echoes.

He wrote a book … and directed a movie

In 2019, Jogia published the book Mixed Feelings: Poems and Stories, where he opens up about being mixed-race and shares his thoughts on complex issues such as family, religion and identity.

He also directed his first film, Door Mouse, in 2023. The “gritty super-stylish thriller” earned a surprisingly lofty 75 per cent score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 96 per cent rating from audiences.

He is dating Halsey

The couple went Instagram official in October 2023 when Halsey posted a photo of them sporting matching black leather outfits by Luis de Javier. They’ve since been publicly supportive of each other, with Halsey leaving a string of emojis on one of Jogia’s most recent posts.
