Responsibilities
Responsible for development, implementation, coordination, and documentation of a clinical risk reduction and error prevention program. Management of patient matters that pose potential and actual liability for Mayo Clinic. Accountable for a patient safety program which includes the review and management of patient safety event reports for the identification of trends that incorporates clinical performance improvement projects to reduce the overall occurrence of patient safety events within Mayo Clinic Arizona. Responsible for Culture of Safety Program and Proactive Risk Assessment per regulatory guidelines. Ensures compliance to external rating and ranking agencies related to patient safety activities. Manages and promotes staff development. ┬аMaintains productivity data related to Risk Management and Patient Safety activities.
This Position is 50% Remote; must live within driving distance of campus

Qualifications
A minimum of five years of clinical risk management and patient safety experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is required. Relevant Mayo Clinic experience preferred. Past experience in a position with a history of direct reporting responsibilities and supervisory experience required. Bachelor of Science Degree required. MasterтАЩs Degree or other advanced clinical degree preferred. Demonstrated ability to coordinate group activities, documented experience in design and implementation of systems improvement projects. Demonstrated effective clinical risk management and general liability claims managing experience, including negotiations of settlements and other forms of resolution. Demonstrated energy level, enthusiasm, and work ethic sufficient to motivate others toward change. Outstanding interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with physicians, members of other disciplines, and management/administration. Readiness to manage and resolve conflict proactively. Demonstrated skill at report development. Evidence of active involvement in organizational and/or department committees, task forces, or performance improvement teams. Demonstrated documented examples of ability to organize and analyze complex data and propose logical conclusions. Evidence of strict adherence to standards of confidentiality and regulatory standards. ┬аTechnical proficiencies with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and other systems as identified.

$109,824.00 тАУ $164,756.80/ year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
