Apple’s “It’s Glowtime” Event: What to Expect and What’s Missing
Apple’s September 2024 event, “It’s Glowtime,” is just around the corner, scheduled for September 9th. Anticipation is high for the unveiling of new hardware products, including the iPhone 16 lineup, AirPods 4, Apple Watch Series 10, and Watch Ultra 3. However, amidst the excitement, there are a few products that might not make an appearance.
Products Unlikely to Launch:
Apple iPhone SE 4
While the Apple iPhone SE 4 is in development, it’s unlikely to debut at the September event. Insiders predict a launch sometime in March 2025. The SE 4 is rumored to boast updated internals, Apple Intelligence features, and a design blending elements of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 16.
Macs with M4 Chipsets
The transition to M4 chipsets for Macs is expected, but it might not happen at this event. The M4, currently exclusive to the iPad Pro 2024, is anticipated to power various MacBooks and Macs later this year, including the iMac, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air, along with variations like the M4 Pro and M4 Max.
New Apple Vision Pro
A more affordable Apple Vision Pro headset has been rumored, but its launch seems premature. The original Vision Pro hasn’t even reached all markets yet, including India. Reports suggest a late 2025 release for the cheaper headset, with the Vision Pro 2 following in 2026.
