Acting veteran Ed Harris has reportedly been set to join the cast of the “Wonder Man” TV series at Marvel Studios and the Disney+ service.

Jeff Sneider revealed the news during a recent episode of The Hot Mic podcast, indicating Harris would potentially play the key role of Neal Saroyan – the talent agent of Simon Williams who goes above and beyond to promote his client.

First introduced in 1964, Wonder Man is Simon Williams – a gifted engineer who gains superhuman abilities, including enhanced strength, speed, stamina, durability, reflexes, and agility. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will take on the role in the upcoming series.

Also onboard is Ben Kingsley reprising his “Iron Man 3” and “Shang-Chi” role of actor Trevor Slattery. In addition, Demetrius Grosse joined the series recently as Simon’s brother Eric Williams. Eric is also known as the villain Grim Reaper who uses a scythe with coma-inducting powers.

Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”) and writer-producer Andrew Guest (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) are developing the property, with Guest serving as head writer. Filming is expected to begin this spring with Cretton and Stella Meghie (“The Photograph”) helming episodes.

Harris, of course, is a screen icon whose work encompasses many films ranging from “The Abyss” and “Westworld” to “A History of Violence,” “The Rock,” “The Firm,” “Just Cause,” and more.
