Hypnotic
Following its ‘work in progress’ screening at SXSW, Robert Rodriguez’s action-thriller “Hypnotic” starring Ben Affleck has been set for a May 12th wide theatrical U.S. release via Ketchup Entertainment.

The $70 million budget feature sees Affleck playing a detective investigating a series of reality-bending crimes mysteriously connected to his missing daughter. Aided by a gifted psychic, he is pursued by a lethal specter who he believes holds the key to finding his daughter. [Source: Deadline]

Untitled David Robert Mitchell Film
Anne Hathaway will team with “It Follows” and “Under The Silver Lake” director David Robert Mitchell for a new and currently untitled film that has been set up at Warner Bros. Pictures, Bad Robot and Jackson Pictures.

Mitchell wrote the script and will use IMAX cameras on the ‘thrill ride’ project which will shoot this Fall. Plot specifics are under wraps, but J.J. Abrams, Matt Jackson and Hannah Minghella produce. [Source: THR]

Thanksgiving
Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon and Rick Hoffman are set to round out the cast of Eli Roth’s “Thanksgiving” at TriStar Pictures and Spyglass Media Group. Patrick Dempsey, Nell Verlaque, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Milo Manheim, Gabriel Davenport, Tomaso Sanelli and Jenna Warren also star.

The film is based on the fake trailer featured in “Grindhouse” and is expected to be a slasher film about a Massachusetts town on turkey day when someone’s slaughtering the citizens. [Source: Deadline]

The Big Lebowski
In time for its 25th anniversary, Joel and Ethan Coen’s “The Big Lebowski” is scoring a special two-night showing of the film in select theaters via Fathom Events. Screenings will run on April 16th and April 20th and will include commentary and “insights” from film critic and historian Leonard Maltin.
