Netflix has premiered the first poster and some first-look concept art from the long-awaited live-action take on Eiichiro Oda’s famed pirate-themed manga and anime series “One Piece”.

The series will follow the other-worldly adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirates crew as they explore exotic islands and endless oceans in search of the ultimate fabled treasure to become the next Pirate King.

However the Navy is on their ship’s tail and they’re not the only crew searching for the One Piece. The series stars Inaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero Gibson and Taz Skylar who play the primary roles.

Additional cast members include Morgan Davies, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Aidan Scott, Jeff Ward, McKinley Belcher III, Vincent Regan, Peter Gadiot, Langley Kirkwood, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward and Chioma Umeala.

The ten-episode series hails from Steven Maeda (“Lost,” “The X-Files”) and Matt Owens (“Luke Cage,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”) with both co-showrunning, writing and executive producing.

The poster and art depict Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy and the other Straw Hats as they prepare to embark on the Going Merry for its adventure. “One Piece” is confirmed to be arriving on the streamer sometime in 2023.
