Actor Dwayne Johnson has released a new photo of himself alongside J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus in the Jake Kasdan-directed Amazon Studios film “Red One”. Chris Evans, Kiernan Shipka, Nick Kroll, Lucy Liu, and Bonnie Hunt also star.

The project is dubbed a “globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre”. The project hails from a script by Chris Morgan and has been shooting since October. [Source: Instagram]

“Attack the Block” writer-director Joe Cornish says he’s a “Bigfoot obsessive” and damn keen to make a movie about Bigfoot whilst out promoting the new Netflix series “Lockwood & Co.” He tells Slashfilm he has an “idea for a Bigfoot movie percolating” and it’s a “genre that feels like it’s waiting for the prestige, sophisticated, super f—— great movie to come along”. Fair Play
Chloe Domont’s Sundance Film Festival psychological thriller title “Fair Play” has sold to Netflix in a massive $20 million deal for the film’s global rights. “Bridgerton” breakout Phoebe Dynevor and “Solo” lead Alden Ehrenreich star.

The pair play a newly engaged couple who keeps their relationship a secret because they work together at a cut-throat hedge fund. When she gets promoted above him, the couple’s power dynamic shifts irrevocably. [Source: Variety]

The Ben Affleck-directed Amazon Studios film “Air” has officially set a theatrical release date of April 5th 2023. Affleck and Matt Damon co-wrote the script which hails from their production company Artists Equity.

The centers around the early days of Nike’s now juggernaut brand, Air Jordan, and the company’s relationship with the then Chicago Bulls rookie, Michael Jordan. Damon and Affleck star alongside Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Marlon Wayans, Viola Davis and Chris Tucker. [Source: Collider]

Knock at the Cabin
Universal Pictures has released a new featurette for M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller “Knock at the Cabin” starring Jonathan Groff, Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, Ben Aldridge, and Nikki Amuka-Bird.

The story centers on a family vacationing in a remote cabin when four strangers break in and demand one of the family to sacrifice themselves to save the world. “Knock at the Cabin” opens on February 3rd.
