The CW has released the first trailer for the third season of “Superman & Lois,” showing off glimpses of the new season which was ordered before the network’s regime change to new owners Nexstar.
As a result, a fifteen-episode third season has gone ahead, but whether the show will continue past this new run is unclear. The third season also sees a major casting change as Jordan Elsass exits the role of Jonathan Kent and Michael Bishop takes over.
A first look at Bishop in the role can be glimpsed in the clip along with Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman getting an updated suit, along with some big personal news for Lois and Metropolis being hit by some devastating destruction.
That’s not all, as the network has also released a new sneak peek at its new “Gotham Knights” series along with a ‘Super Knight’ promo promoting the pair of shows as their premieres will take place on the same night.
Set in the wake of Bruce Wayne’s death, the series sees his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies, who are all framed for the murder of Wayne and attempt to clear their names. The series co-stars “Supernatural” alum Misha Collins as Harvey Dent.
That series marks the third and last of The CW’s new shows for the season following spin-offs “The Winchesters” and “Walker: Independence” last Fall. Both the third season of “Superman & Lois” and the series premiere of “Gotham Knights” will take place on The CW on March 14th.
