The Television Critics Association’s 2023 winter press tour kicked off today, starting with Paramount+ who debuted new teaser art for the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard” premiering on February 16th.

Or is it the final season? The team behind the series don’t sound so sure that this will be the end, with executive producer Alex Kurtzman responding with “Who knows?” when asked about the ending of the series.

Series star Patrick Stewart then said that if the show could “maintain the work quality” of the first three seasons, he would be open to reappearing and that the storyline of the final season intentionally left doors open the creative team could walk through.

Terry Matalas serves as sole showrunner for season three, which sees Sir Patrick Stewart back as Jean-Luc Picard alongside Levar Burton as Geordi LaForge; Michael Dorn as Worf; Jonathan Frakes as Riker; Gates McFadden as Beverly Crusher; Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, and Brent Spiner taking on the role of Data’s evil twin brother Lore.

Also back from the first two seasons are Michelle Hurd as Raffi Musiker and Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, and they are joined by Amanda Plummer as the new season’s villain Vadic, captain of a starship called the Shrike, who has a grievance with Picard and Starfleet.

“Picard” premieres on Thursday, February 16th, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Crave in Canada and Amazon Prime Video around the rest of the world. New episodes of the ten-episode run will stream weekly on Thursdays. Check out the new poster art released today:
