Amazon Prime has released a final trailer for the second and final season of its neo-noir fantasy series “Carnival Row”.
The new run is finally seeing the light of day after it started filming in late 2019 and then had pandemic-related setbacks which saw the shoot delayed for over a year and then resume in mid-2021.
The eight-episode second season will reunite audiences with former inspector Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom) as he continues investigating a series of gruesome murders that stoked social tension.
Vignette (Cara Delevigne) and the Black Raven continue to plot payback for the unjust oppression inflicted by The Burgue’s human leaders. Meanwhile, Tourmaline (Karla Crome) is faced with the supernatural powers she inherited that threaten her fate and the future of The Row.
Social unrest continues to plague Imogen Spurnrose (Tamzin Merchant) and Agreus Astrayon (David Gyasi) after escaping The Burgue and her vengeful brother Ezra (Andrew Gower).
Brad Van Arragon, Sarah Byrd, Jim Dunn, Sam Ernst, and Wesley Strick co-star in the series. The new season follows on from the first, which premiered back in August 2019 on Amazon to a mixed reception from critics though did well enough for the streamer to greenlight a further season despite the obvious expense of producing such a lavish period fantasy piece.
Amazon Prime premieres the ten-episode final season of “Carnival Row,” which hails from creators René Echevarria and Travis Beacham, starting from February 17th in multiple global territories.
