Sony Pictures Animation has released a new look at “Agent Elvis,” the upcoming Netflix 2D animated series previously titled “Agent King”. The one-sheet was released in time to celebrate the music icon’s birthday.
In the series, the one and only Elvis Presley trades in his white jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to help battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.
“Archer” alum Mike Arnold has written the series and serves as showrunner while Fletcher Moules is supervising director. Titmouse, Inc. (“Star Trek: Lower Decks,” “The Legend of Vox Machina”) is handling the animation and it’s expected to be every bit as experimental as some of Sony Pictures Animation’s more recent works like “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and “The Mitchells vs. The Machines”.
Elvis in the series will have a wardrobe of outfits all custom designed by notable menswear designer John Varvatos who also acts as a consulting producer on the series.
The series is created by Elvis’ ex-wife Priscilla Presley along with John Eddie who executive produce alongside Kevin Noel, Jamie Salter, Marc Rosen, Corey Salter, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina.
No cast details or potential air date are available as of now, though it will screen sometime this year.
