Ana de Armas has had a hell of a busy time of late. The “Knives Out” star turned her brief appearance in 2021’s “No Time To Die” into the most memorable sequence of the entire film.

She then followed it up with Hulu’s “Deep Water,” Joe and Anthony Russo’s big-budget action vehicle “The Gray Man,” and the debate-spawning Andrew Dominik-directed Marilyn Monroe film “Blonde”.

More recently, she reunited with Chris Evans again for the film “Ghosted,” and now she’s in the middle of filming a lead role in “Ballerina,” a spin-off of one of the biggest action franchises out there – “John Wick”.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, de Armas was asked about how “Ballerina” is progressing. She revealed they’re most of the way through filming already, and the work has taken a toll on her physically:

“We’ve been in Prague filming for four months. We still have one more month to go. And I’m in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I’m complaining, I’m sore, I’m bruised.

Bond was fifteen minutes. This is a whole movie, another level. But the other day, Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing crazy stunts. And I’m like – I can’t complain anymore. Because he is doing it! He truly is the best.”

That confirms that Reeves has been filming his scenes for the film lately. He joins several other returnees from the main “John Wick” films, including Ian McShane as Winston, Lance Reddick as Charon, and Anjelica Huston as ‘The Director’.

They’re joined by Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, and Catalina Sandino Moreno who have been cast in undisclosed roles in the film, which is reportedly set between the events of the third and fourth titles.

The project hasn’t set a release date, but an early 2024 release would be the best guess and would come after “John Wick Chapter 4”, opening March 24th, and “The Continental” series, which is expected to air later this year.
