Having turned “Power” into a multi-series franchise on Starz, producer Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is set to do the same thing for his crime drama series “BMF” (Black Mafia Family).
Speaking at the show’s second season premiere in Los Angeles ahead of its airing tonight, Jackson has dubbed this new television universe ‘BMF Immortal’ with plans for three spinoffs in the works. The projects are still in the earliest stages, so titles and details will be announced at a later date.
Jackson did not renew his exclusive deal with Starz in September, but both remain committed to creating content that connects. Jackson’s “Power” franchise has been a consistent performer with solid viewership numbers for the premium cabler.
Separately, Jackson and Starz are also developing a new series titled “Fightland” set within the high-stakes world of British boxing. He’s also developing the animated superhero series “Trill League” at BET+ which will be produced by G-Unit Film & TV, 3 Arts, and Lionsgate Television.
