On New Year’s Day, Marvel’s Hawkeye star Jeremy Renner was in an accident involving a snow plow, leaving him with horrible injuries including blunt trauma to the chest. Nevada’s Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said Renner was run over by a seven-ton snow plow while trying to help a family member who had gotten stuck driving on a private road in heavy snow. After undergoing multiple surgeries, Renner is currently in stable condition.
“Thank you all for your kind words. [I’m] too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all,” the actor wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday along with a picture of him in the hospital with an oxygen tube.
Hollywood stars from James Gunn to Mark Ruffalo have been sending him well wishes, and it looks like Renner is on a healing journey.
