Production on the upcoming new “Ocean’s Eleven” film is slated to begin on March 6th, according to a posting with the Film & Television Industry Alliance.
“Barbie” stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling will re-team on the currently untitled project, which has been touted as a 1960s Europe-set prequel to the Clooney & Pitt-led and Steven Soderbergh-directed 2001 film.
However the listing dubs this a remake of the original 1960 Rat Pack-led “Ocean’s Eleven”. Jay Roach helms the new film from a screenplay written by Carrie Solomon.
Robbie and Gosling are the only two confirmed cast members at this point, though the cast list is rumored to include younger versions of some of the older characters.
Gary Ross, Josey McNamara, Michelle Graham, Tom Ackerley, and Olivia Milch produce.
