In the wake of the death of trailblazing journalism legend Barbara Walters on Friday at the age of 93, ABC News has announced they are planning two tributes to Walters over the holiday weekend.
The first, the two-hour primetime special “Our Barbara: A Special Edition of 20/20” will air on ABC. It will feature some of Walters’ most groundbreaking interviews along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage.
Bob Iger, David Muir, Diane Sawyer, Deborah Roberts, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos will all appear on the special, which will air Sunday, January 1st at 8pm US-EST on ABC and will be available the next day on Hulu.
“The View Honors Barbara Walters” will air on ABC News Live. This will focus on Walters’ work on “The View” which she created and led for nearly twenty years. It will show off some unforgettable moments from the series and explore how her work as a journalist impacted her personal life.
That special will air on ABC News Live throughout the upcoming weekend starting at 8am US-EST on Sunday, January 1st and will shortly be available on Hulu.
