Marvel Studios is teaming with Penguin Random House for the launch of the new book “Marvel Studios’ The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline”.
A trio of respected entertainment journalists – Anthony Breznican, Amy Ratcliffe, and Rebecca Theodore-Vachon – have collaborated on the work which will help MCU fans to keep track of the franchise’s growing lore, timelines, and characters along with making some reveals about Marvel movie lore.
The 320-page book is dubbed the “definitive, filmmaker-endorsed” guide to the MCU and will offer a clear guide ahead of Marvel’s launch of Phases 5 & 6 beginning in February with the new “Ant-Man” film.
It will also include more detailed information about the history of Captain America’s shield, the formation of the Multiverse, and more along with exclusive infographics, timelines, and stills. The official synopsis reads as follows:
“The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is vast, incredibly varied, and richly complex. Different worlds, different timelines, countless characters.
This is the guide to that universe. Created in close collaboration with Marvel Studios, it will answer the biggest questions: what happened, when, where, and why. Follow the entire story of the MCU from before the Big Bang to the Blip and beyond.
Along the way, learn more about the evolution of the Iron Man armors, the hunt for the Infinity Stones, and the formation of the Multiverse. Want to know how many times aliens have invaded Earth, or the complete history of Cap’s shield? Look no further!”
Pre-orders are now available ahead of a planned September 5th 2023 release.
