History Of Yu-Gi-Oh
The creator of Yu-Gi-Oh Kazuki Takahashi passed away earlier in 2022, but the legacy of his work has already earned its place in the history books. ‘Yu-Gi-Oh’ translates from Japanese to mean ‘King of Games’ and was originally a horror Manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump back in 1996 to a very dull reception. The original Manga had characters playing anything from Russian roulette to chess, but when Takahashi introduced a card game dubbed ‘Duel monsters’, the concept was snapped up by manufacturer Konami and the commercial game was born (with the anime series following in the year 2000).
