Hans Zimmer MrBeast

Famed composer Hans Zimmer is best known for his collaborations with the likes of Ridley Scott and Christopher Nolan and Oscar-winning scores for The Lion King and Dune–but now he has gone to a much smaller screen, lending music to MrBeast’s YouTube channel. The video in question, “I Survived 50 Hours in Antarctica”, was posted on Christmas Eve.

The partnership between Hans Zimmer and MrBeast is indeed unlikely, but since they both happened to be in Antarctica at the time–a continent that only has a few thousand people on it at any given time–they were bound to run into each other! As MrBeast tells it, “The moment I heard Hans was there too, I knew I had to work with him on this no matter what it took. No one else would understand what surviving in such a crazy place is like! We had to get it done super quick, and when we reached out, he was just as excited.”

Hans Zimmer was just as excited as MrBeast, saying, “When MrBeast sets you a challenge, you can bet things are going to get crazy…‘Score my Antarctica video in just a few days, please, Hans? Challenge accepted!!’”…We had a ton of fun, and we hope you enjoy.” First, could you even imagine Hans Zimmer using exclamations like that? And two, the composer will be getting some major street cred (other than being one of the most renowned film composers ever), as MrBeast’s YouTube channel has the most subscribers of any individual, with 123 million. One can only imagine what Zimmer could do with other popular MrBeast videos like “I Bought Everything In a Store” and “Going Through The Same Drive Thru 1,000 Times.”

In addition to elaborate–and plenty of juvenile–stunts, MrBeast is also known for his philanthropy. The YouTube sensation has donated millions to charity, has helped plant more than 20 million trees, and opened a food pantry that has delivered over three million meals.

For the MrBeast video, Hans Zimmer teamed up with two other musicians for the “Antarctica or Bust track.” They all receive quick shoutouts at the end, which you can view at the bottom of the article.
