Former U.S. President Barack Obama continued his annual tradition of posting a list of his favorite movies of the year. For 2022, he chose seventeen films in no particular order.

Universal Pictures’ “Renfield,” a darkly comedic spin on the Dracula story with Nicolas Cage in that role alongside Nicholas Hoult as his eponymous acolyte, has scored an R rating from the MPAA for bloody violence, some gore, language throughout and some drug use. Netflix launched its ad-supported plan last month, a tier of the service priced 30% less than its previous least-expensive package. However it has now been revealed that only around 9% of Netflix’s U.S. subscriber sign-ups in the time since were for the ad-supported package – making it the least popular among its plan options. In addition, only 0.1% of existing Netflix users have switched over to an ad-supported tier thus far. [Source: Variety]
Famke Janssen (“Taken,” “X-Men”) and Rose Williams (“Reign,” “Sanditon”) will lead the Netflix psychological thriller “Locked In” is currently in production in London and the UK. Alex Hassell, Finn Cole and Anna Friel co-star in the Nour Wazzi-directed film.
The story pits the unhappy newlywed Lina (Williams) against her brittle, damaged mother-in-law, Katherine (Janssen). An affair sets Lina onto a journey of secrecy, betrayal and murder – and a plot to seemingly destroy her. Rowan Joffe penned the script. [Source: Deadline]
