Avatar Studios is reportedly working on the next “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series that takes place after both the original and “The Legend of Korra” reports AvatarNews.
According to the site, the series will focus on an earthbender who succeeds Aang and Korra as the Avatar. It’s now known how far in the future this show’s era will be set but going by a rough approximation, it will take place a century after ‘Korra’ and the Avatar world’s equivalent of our present day.
An animated movie featuring the new earth Avatar in their era is also reportedly coming to cinemas “in the years after the show comes out”.
The site says the already announced animated adult Aang movie, one of three set to hit cinemas, is coming to theaters on October 10th 2025. It will reportedly come first, followed by this series and the team is “absolutely working on multiple projects in parallel right now”.
A live-action “Avatar: The Last Airbender” series is slated to be released on Netflix sometime next year.
