There have been a few Disney live-action remakes of classic animated movies with Fresh Rotten Tomatoes scores, but most of them don’t compare to the scores of the original. While Rotten Tomatoes scores are a subjective rating system, it’s interesting to see how critic and audience reactions differ between different versions of the same story told decades apart.

A number of Disney’s live-action adaptations have veered away from the story of the original, such as Cruella or Maleficent, taking characters from the original story and telling a new story or putting a twist on the original. While those movies are a fresh and interesting approach to classic Disney stories, these comparisons will focus solely on the Disney titles to receive a direct live-action remake.
