Having just played Emmett Till in the “Till” movie, Jalyn Hall will now play a young Martin Luther King Jr in the fourth installment in the Disney+/National Geographic anthology series “Genius: MLK/X”. Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy
Stanley Tucci has confirmed that his Emmy-winning CNN travel series “Searching for Italy” has been canceled after two seasons. The axing comes as part of the network’s larger initiative to cancel all its original programming. Tucci hopes he will end up on another streamer or network as he already has third season plans. Hulu has ordered the animated comedy series “Standing By” which follows a group of eternally bound, irritated, judgmental, and gossip-starved guardian angels.

Untitled James Wan Project
Peacock is teaming with filmmaker James Wan for a currently untitled horror thriller series to be written entirely by “Yellowstone” writer Ian McCulloch and based on the 1988 novel “Stinger” by Robert McCammon.
The original novel takes place over the course of a single day in a remote Texas town brimming with racial tension, gang violence, and a collapsing economy. Added to this, a spacecraft crashed just outside of town and was carrying something dangerous in it. [Source: Peacock]
Fightland
Starz is developing “Fightland,” a drama series set in the world of British boxing with Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson attached as an executive producer. Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith (“Run”) created the show.
The series follows a retired disgraced world champion fighter drawn into the corrupt underbelly of the sport after the disappearance of his childhood best friend and training partner. The news comes as the 50 Cent-produced “Power Book II: Ghost” has set a Season 3 launch date of March 17th. [Source: TV Line]
