Paul Martin and the Magic Magnifying Glass
Creation Entertainment Media and Magic Frame Animation are teaming to adapt Georges Alexander Vagan’s Christmas-set book series “Paul Martin and the Magic Magnifying Glass” for the cinema.
Both companies will co-develop and produce the fantasy adventure tales into a film series for family audiences. The first film, largely adapted from the first book, is expected for released in 2025. [Source: Deadline]
Citadel
Varun Dhawan (“Dishoom”) has been confirmed as the lead of the Indian series spin-off of the Russo Brothers’ upcoming mega-budget international espionage series “Citadel”. Raj & DK serve as showrunners and filming begins in January.
Dhawan joins the franchise alongside Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Stanley Tucci will lead the U.S. series which hails from the Russos and David Weil. Matilda De Angelis will lead the Italian spin-off in the works. [Source: Amazon]
Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches
AMC’s “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” is set to launch next month via a five-network simulcast premiere with BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV and WE TV to premiere the series on January 8th at 9pm alongside the AMC and AMC+ releases.
The network has also set the witch history-themed companion documentary special “All of Them Witches” for AMC+ from this Friday. Alexandra Daddario leads the series as an intuitive young neurosurgeon who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. [Source: Variety]
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Following the recent trailer, Sony Pictures has also released the official poster for the highly anticipated animated sequel “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” which opens on June 2nd next year.
The poster shows off a number of Spider-Man variants to feature in the new film, including the PlayStation game variant, Spectacular Spider-Man, and more.
