On the whole, Avatar 2 misses some points but have several factors working in its favour- be it hype, screen count, blockbuster ticket rates and thumbs up from the target audience. These all will easily help the film to earn big at the Indian box office. It won’t be able to challenge Avengers: Endgame’s mammoth 365.50 crores collection but will close its run by becoming the 2nd highest Hollywood grosser in India by surpassing 222.69 crores of Avengers: Infinity War.

Review By: Soumyabrata Gupta (Critic)

The submarine world of Avatar: The Way of Water is, in a way, the chief character around which the entire narrative revolves, but when the plotline is flimsy, it amounts to nothing more than a marine biologists dream come true on screen, and frankly at that, a nature biography by David Attenborough is perhaps slightly better. With brevity not being its strong suit, Avatar 2 has a Tennysonian Lotus Eaters-esque quality, which could gently cajole you into a slight lull. The climax, at that, has sparks of brilliance, but ultimately lacks an edge.

Review By: Saibal Chatterjee (Critic)

When Neytiri points out to Sully that he should go a little easy on his children, he retorts: “I am their father. It’s my job.” His wife chastens him: We are not a squad; we are a family.” It is when one member of his extended brood is taken captive by Quaritch’s squad, Jake can foresee the threats that lie ahead. He moves out of the forest of Pandora and sets up home on the island where the Metkayina reef people live.
